Cameras, lighting, microphones and gear

Professional equipment for high production value and of coarse reliability. To get the best out of your budget for a film or video shoot, it’s important to know the things that make a production work as a whole, from planning the shots to end usage of your film – even the audience plays an important role to determine which cameras of production setup is used.
I work with different kind of equipment, but we have always a high demand for professional grade stuff and new technology, so I constantly improve techniques and also change shooting equipment to get the latest and newest features availlable, be it 4K and beyond, HDR or capturing possibilities for RAW footage.
When it comes to cameras, I mostly use Sony such as the Sony PXW FS7, PXW FS7 Mk II, Sony PXW Z280, all latest Sony Alpha cameras such as Sony A7R3 and Sony A7III if the shooting is going to be „lightwheight“ or small in terms of equipment. Also Canon Cinema cameras such as Canon C300 Mk 2 or Canons EOS 5D Mk3 and Mk4 cameras are used, also for photography, stills and photo documentation.

Production value is always the highest goal to serve, so I also use different camera stabilizer systems (Gimbals) such as DJI Ronin, sliders (also availlable are timelapse sliders), cranes and dolly tripods. Sennheiser is my choice mainly when it comes to shotgun microphones and wireless systems.

Which camera fits your production needs?

To choose a camera is always a question of the look and feel of a project, budget and handling demands while shooting your footage.
